West by Southwest is a comprehensive escorted tour designed for travelers who want to experience the American West in depth, combining iconic cities, world-famous national parks and some of the most spectacular landscapes in North America. Over eleven days, this journey reveals the incredible diversity of the Southwest, from sun-soaked California to the red-rock deserts of Arizona and Utah.
The adventure begins in Los Angeles, where palm-lined boulevards, beaches and Hollywood landmarks set the tone for an unforgettable road trip. Traveling east, the scenery transforms as you cross the Mojave Desert toward the Colorado River and the historic town of Laughlin.
Nature takes center stage with visits to the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon, the winding curves of Horseshoe Bend, the sculpted sandstone corridors of Antelope Canyon and the legendary mesas of Monument Valley, deep within Navajo Nation.
The journey continues through Utah’s dramatic landscapes, including Arches, Canyonlands, Dead Horse Point, Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon, before reaching the bright lights of Las Vegas. From there, the tour crosses Death Valley and heads north to the majestic Yosemite National Park.
The final days feature the scenic 17-Mile Drive, the coastal charm of Monterey and the vibrant atmosphere of San Francisco, where the tour concludes. Day-by-Day Itinerary - MAP - Hotels - Optional
Day 1 — Los Angeles (Arrival)
Arrival in Los Angeles and transfer to the hotel via complimentary shuttle service (operating between 6:00 am and 10:30 pm). Welcome service included.
Day 2 — Los Angeles → Laughlin
Morning city tour of Los Angeles including Hollywood Boulevard, the Chinese Theatre, Walk of Fame, Sunset Strip, beaches and Downtown. Continue through the Mojave Desert to Laughlin, located along the Colorado River.
Day 3 — Laughlin → Grand Canyon → Tuba City
Travel along historic Route 66 before reaching the magnificent Grand Canyon. Continue through the Painted Desert and Cameron Trading Post to Tuba City, located within Navajo Nation. Dinner included.
Day 4 — Tuba City → Horseshoe Bend → Antelope Canyon → Monument Valley → Moab
Visit Horseshoe Bend, followed by a guided tour of Antelope Canyon. Continue to Monument Valley, Navajo Tribal Park, before reaching Moab for overnight stay. Dinner included.
Day 5 — Moab → Arches → Canyonlands → Moab
Full day exploring Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, showcasing dramatic rock formations and deep canyons. Dinner and overnight in Moab.
Day 6 — Moab → Dead Horse Point → Capitol Reef → Bryce Canyon
Visit Dead Horse Point State Park and Capitol Reef National Park. Arrive at Bryce Canyon for an unforgettable view of its unique hoodoos. Dinner included.
Day 7 — Bryce Canyon → Las Vegas
Travel through the Mojave Desert into Nevada. Arrive in Las Vegas in the afternoon, the city of lights.
Day 8 — Las Vegas → Death Valley → Bakersfield
Explore Death Valley National Park, including Zabriskie Point and Furnace Creek. Continue to Bakersfield for overnight stay. Dinner included.
Day 9 — Bakersfield → Yosemite National Park → Modesto
Visit Yosemite National Park, famous for its granite cliffs and waterfalls. Continue through California’s Central Valley to Modesto. Dinner included.
Day 10 — Modesto → 17-Mile Drive → Monterey → San Francisco
Travel through California’s Gold Rush region to Monterey. Enjoy the scenic 17-Mile Drive before arriving in San Francisco. Orientation city tour and farewell dinner.
Day 11 — San Francisco (Departure)
Continental breakfast and transfer to San Francisco International Airport.
