How Many Days it Takes to visit Washington?
Washington DC, the capital,
is a relatively small city but it offers many things to visit,
plenty of museums (most of them free) and then there are
all the Memorials, not to mention
Georgetown ... So,
a minimum of 3 days is recommended, if you don't want to miss important attractions and landmarks.

There are half-day tours that take you to visit the most important places around the city, cruises on the Potomac River that give you excellent points of view over the top attractions and monuments, then a
visit to Arlington Cemetery and Capitol Hill. The history of the city, for those interested, can be learned by visiting
the Museums especially the Smithsonian's one -- the National Gallery of Art, the Library of Congress, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History,
National Air and Space Museum and more.How to Move around the City?
The Metrorail and Metrobus are easy to use and thus the most utilized by locals and visitors alike. They operate from 5 am to midnight during the week while on weekends from 7am to 3am. You can also ride the DC Circulator, with a cost of only $1 per ride, and as always Taxis are easy to find, or if needed you can use the Uber and Lyft app.

Without going too far you have the opportunity to
visit the historic Alexandria and Mount Vernon to see a town dating back to the early 1600s and the home of George Washington.
