Washington DC, the capital, is a relatively small city

and thus the most utilized by locals and visitors alike. They operate from 5 am to midnight during the week while on weekends from 7am to 3am. You can also ride the DC Circulator, with a cost of only $1 per ride, and as always Taxis are easy to find, or if needed you can use the Uber and Lyft app.

Without going too far you have the opportunity to visit the historic Alexandria and Mount Vernon
to see a town dating back to the early 1600s and the home of George Washington.
