Located in Golden Gate Park, this world-renowned institution brings together an aquarium, planetarium, rainforest dome, and natural history museum under one living roof. Expect several hours to fully experience the exhibits. Advance reservations are typically required, and hours vary seasonally.

Blue & Gold Fleet – San Francisco Bay Cruise
A narrated 60-minute cruise offering close-up views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and the city skyline. Audio guides are available in multiple languages. Sailings operate throughout the day, subject to weather conditions.

Exploratorium
An interactive science museum on the Embarcadero featuring hands-on exhibits both indoors and outdoors. Adults may enjoy the special Thursday evening “After Dark” sessions (18+). Hours vary by day and season.

Aquarium of the Bay
Located at Pier 39, this aquarium highlights Northern California marine life, including walk-through underwater tunnels and interactive touch pools. Daily educational programs are included with admission.

San Francisco Zoo & Gardens
Situated along the Pacific Ocean, the zoo features diverse habitats and landscaped gardens. Keeper talks and animal presentations are scheduled daily; hours may vary depending on the season.

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA)
One of the largest modern and contemporary art museums in the United States. General admission includes expansive permanent collections and select exhibitions. Plan at least 2–3 hours for a comprehensive visit.

The Walt Disney Family Museum
Located in the Presidio, this museum offers a personal look at Walt Disney’s life, creative journey, and legacy. Permanent galleries and select rotating exhibitions are included.

de Young Museum + Legion of Honor
Same-day admission to both fine arts museums. The de Young showcases American art and global textiles, while the Legion of Honor focuses on European masterpieces. Visitors often combine both in one day.
