Our tip: This tour is best suited for guests who appreciate thoughtful experiences and elevated service.

Your journey begins with luxury transportation in a Mercedes Sprinter Van (max 14 guests) or Chevrolet Suburban SUV, fully licensed and insured. Unlike mass-market Everglades parks, this experience is intentionally intimate and eco-conscious.
Upon arrival inside the Miccosukee Indian Reservation, you’ll board a true open-air airboat with elevated tiered seating — not the large covered boats used in commercial parks. The one-hour ride glides across untouched sawgrass prairies, mangrove forests, and cypress wetlands.
The experience includes stops on two private islands passed down through generations of an important Miccosukee family. Once traditional hunting camps, these hammocks now serve as protected wildlife habitats and cultural gathering sites.
You’ll walk a short boardwalk, learn about tribal history, and may encounter the legendary “Papa Alligator” or “Mama Alligator.” This is not a staged animal performance — it is an authentic ecological encounter.
The tour concludes with free time at the reservation’s handicraft store (closed Mondays and Tuesdays — alternate Everglades stop provided), followed by a short scenic driving tour inside the reservation.
