Visit Arches National Park, famous for its natural stone arches and dramatic scenery. Continue north to Rock Springs.
Stop at Grand Teton National Park, where rugged peaks rise above alpine lakes. Arrive in Jackson Hole, a charming town with an authentic Old West feel.
A full day in Yellowstone National Park, America’s first national park: geysers, vast plains and wildlife such as bison. With luck, you may also spot bears. Overnight in Rexburg.
Travel to Salt Lake City, Olympic host city (2002 and 2034). Visit Temple Square, the Mormon Tabernacle and the State Capitol.
Depart for Bryce Canyon National Park, famous for its hoodoos and natural amphitheaters carved into colorful sandstone.
Morning visit to Snow Canyon State Park, featuring red-and-white Navajo sandstone formations. Return to Las Vegas in the afternoon.
Cross the Mojave Desert and climb into the Sierra Nevada toward Mammoth Lakes, a beautiful mountain resort area surrounded by spectacular scenery.
Enter Yosemite National Park and visit the most famous sights: Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, El Capitan and stunning waterfalls. Wildlife may include deer, coyotes and, occasionally, bears.
