DAY 3: SAN FRANCISCO – YOSEMITE (OR MONTEREY) – LOS ANGELES
Depending on the season, we will have 2 different itineraries for this day.
In the Summer Time,
we will opt for the route that will take us through the farmlands of the Joaquin Valley until we reach Yosemite National Park.
Here, we will spend our day exploring this 1,200 square-mile enchanted forest full of waterfalls, lakes, and the incredible mountains of the Sierra Nevada. During the day, we will be able to stop at some of the most iconic stops such as El Capitan, Bridal-Veil Falls, and Half Dome.
We will also take a small hike right from the Yosemite Visitor Center to reach one of the highest waterfalls in North America (730 meters tall) — The Yosemite Falls.
In late Fall/Winter,
when many roads going out east and to the mountains will be closed due to snow and inclement weather, instead of visiting the Yosemite Park, we will opt for a visit to Monterey, another picturesque California seaside village
with an iconic Wharf and a popular Main Street by the name of Cannery Row.
Whether we follow the late Spring/Summer route or the late Fall/Winter route, we will try to be back in Los Angeles by the late afternoon/evening depending on traffic.
