In the early morning, we will meet with our group by the San Francisco Library and we'll take a few hours to explore the beautiful city by the bay.
During the morning, we will also take a panoramic cruise around the bay from where we'll have the chance not only to admire the iconic Hilly Skyline of San Francisco but also looping around the infamous Alcatraz Island, the historic Penitentiary now turned a National Park that was considered the most brutal during the 20th century and whose inmates included the likes of Al Capone!
We will have a chance to "almost touch" the impressive Golden Gate Bridge cruising by it and admire from a distance the beautiful and quaint Marin County (found at the other end of the Bridge) with the famous town of Sausalito and the giant Redwoods.
We will leave San Francisco by late afternoon with a chance to admire the Skyline lighting up for the night and head East towards Yosemite National Park where we will spend one full day admiring the Sierra Nevada Mountains, natural lakes, the Yosemite Falls and some of the most iconic peaks including Bridal-veil and El Capitan. When in the Winter it is not possible to visit the park due to bad road conditions and heavy snowfalls, we will instead visit the charming Monterey an iconic seaside town found right on the pacific coast famous for the historic Wharf and iconic Main Street.
After leaving California behind, we will start making our way towards the States of Nevada and Arizona famous for their desert-like environment. We will spend 2 nights in Las Vegas which will give you plenty of time and opportunity to experience the Gambling Capital of the World at your leisure. If you want to make sure you are "trying" everything Vegas can offer you, we recommend planning to attend one of the many popular shows including the award-winning Circ-du-Soleil or maybe try one of the popular restaurants owned by world-renowned chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, José Andrés, Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck and so on.
For the second part of the tour, we will leave "big cities", "bright lights", and "entertainment" behind us and we'll focus on visiting some of the most visited National Parks in our country from impressive Monument Valley. We will also stop at the popular Horseshoe Bend to grab some photos of the red-rock formations contrasting with the deep teal color of the Colorado River. In the Monument Valley, we will also take part in a great excursion aboard a Jeep and led by a Navajo Tour Guide that will take us all the way down to the valley while explaining the importance of this region not only for the Native-American history and culture but as a geological and environmental testament as well.
During the tour, we will also have a chance to visit the beautiful Sedona a small town considered the Jewel of the Desert and one of the most beautiful places in America. We'll conclude our trip with a visit to the Antelope National Park called " Where the water runs through the rock" and the Valley of Fire with its billion-of-years-old rock formations. We will make our way back to Las Vegas by late afternoon/early evening. Please Note this Tour departs from San Francisco and returns to Las Vegas.
