DESCRIPTION

Arlington National Cemetery is located in front of Washington D.C., along the bank of the Potomac River, near the Pentagon. Officially declared a military cemetery on June 15, 1864, it looks like an immense and ordered expanse of white gravestones that shelter over 300,000 bodies of veterans of all the American wars, from the war of independence to the terrorist attacks of 2001.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During the tour we will visit the tombs of John Kennedy and Jacqueline Onassis and their children, the home of Arlington known to be the house of General Lee and a final walk will lead us to the tomb of the unknown soldier. Once you leave the cemetery there will still be time to take a picture of the famous monument of Iwo Jima, see the Pentagon (photos not allowed) and the monument of the Air Force.
