The Everglades is one of the largest and slowest rivers in the United States and gives its name to the National Park. Its name means grass river, and its slow-moving water flows from north to south remaining clear.
Its maximum depth ranges from 20 to 30 cm and it can reach temperatures over 32 degrees; it is inhabited by a variety of flora and fauna including alligators, turtles, snakes, fish and exotic birds.
Everglades tours will no longer include the ticket. Customers can purchase the ticket once they arrive at the park. The price is $39 for adults and $25 for children (ages 3 to 9), under 3 is free
